ABOUT US: THREE GENERATIONS WORKING TOGETHER.

My wife Carol and I (Andy Nastase) started our business on the motto: “If you always take care of the customer, they will always take care of you.” It was small beginnings in 1960 when I left a sales position in order to learn the roofing trade. I desired to work with my hands and be outdoors. We were a small start-up with me subcontracting from home builders and my wife Carol handling the books.

By 1976, I decided it was time for further growth. It was at this time, after conversations with roofing supply companies and manufacturers' representatives that I decided to get into the commercial and industrial side of the roofing business, but still making it a priority to take care of our faithful residential customers. After 5 short years, we had 2 commercial crews, had moved into a new location in Irvington, and hired a top notch salesman. At that time, we were installing built up systems, torch down single-ply and EPDM single-ply rubber roof systems. Growth requires hard work and a quality operation as our loyal customers expect quality workmanship and good service. Doing so has enabled us to have decades-long relationships with many of our residential and commercial clients. 

Good customer service is another key ingredient in a successful operation and as a family owned business. Our office and field workers have a sprinkling of dedicated family members who have a personal interest in quality service. My daughters, Susan and Laurie, who were trained by their mother, manage the office along with the company mascot, Leo the Rottweiler. My son Todd, with over 30 years experience, runs our sheet metal division. Our son-in-law, Rich Zeman, with us over 35 years, is Chief Commercial Estimator. Another son-in-law, Troy Parish, does commercial repairs. Our grandson, Zach Zeman, is a Project Manager along with Eric Severin, our adopted son, with us over 30 years. Jonathan Kracht runs our residential division – sales and service. Most of our employees have been with us over 10 years, and some have over 20 years. 

Our operation has taken us to parts of Iowa, Missouri, and all of Nebraska. Some our special projects include roofing the majority of CVS Pharmacies in Nebraska, along with 1 in St. Joseph, MO and Council Bluffs, IA. We have a long standing industrial project at the Goodyear Plant in Lincoln, NE with over 15 acres of roof. We have roofed several movie theaters, medical centers, shopping and strip malls to name a few. 

Mike Stoops, the successful coach at Oklahoma said, “Don't worry about the next job. Do a good job where you are.” After 50 plus years in the roofing industry, we are still fully aware that taking care of our customers and striving to install the best roofing systems available today is the only way to maintain satisfied customers and continue a successful business. 

Nastase Roofing Inc. has both residential and commerical divisions. Our residential division specializes in wood shakes, asphalt shingles, and metal decorative panels. We also can also repair/replace skylights as well as make custom metal flashings for gutters and chimneys. Our commercial division specializes in TPO and EPDM (rubber membrane) roofing and with our metal shop we can service all trim work on any commercial job.
